wedding wednesday: photobooth ideas

I just love a good photobooth!

Renting one is awesome and I love love LOVE the photo strips that they produce, but I’m tempted to argue that they’re 10 times better and more personal when the bride or the event designer takes the time to craft something handmade!

Here are a few of my favorite {totally DO-ABLE} ideas!

wedding wednesday: alter curtains

I can’t stop gushing over the alter curtain trend. To be honest, I wanted to do this for our wedding and even bought the fabric (lace), figured out how to build the frame, and then started working with my dad on the execution but we eventually ran out of steam and I ended up just renting our arbor from the florist. I don’t regret one detail about how our wedding turned out, but I still do want to try this alter curtain trend for someone someday! … any takers?

here are a few of my favorite inspirations photos and links:

this was my ultimate inspiration for our wedding… love these curtains.

this beauty of a wedding was not only featured on the beautiful bride’s blog, Erin Pot Pie (linked back here), but also on Green Wedding Shoes, and published in an issue of Real Simple Weddings. The creativity behind this wedding is astounding and those curtains as the ceremony back drop are to die for!

On Wednesdays, I plan to blog solely about weddings. To kick things off, here are a few of my absolute favorite inspirational wedding images that I’ve saved over the last couple years . . .

I’m still wonderstruck by the amazing decor of this fall wedding featured on Style Me Pretty. Those curtains! The rustic barn + glam chandeliers! That amazing color scheme that equates to fall perfection! This wedding is definitely one of my favorites ever featured on SMP.

Consider this a new goal – One day, I will hang lanterns from large, pretty trees.

Speaking of trees… better add this lovely idea to the dream styling list too.
